Face Time (Week 4)

Face Time (Week 4)

“Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish.”  ~John Quincy Adams

Hopefully now is when the fun begins. The self-portrait project is large part of your early grade. The expectation is that you take your time and add details to give your portrait depth. Sure we are “tracing”, but it goes beyond that. Make sure you use gradients, shadowing, textures, etc, to add depth to your portrait so it doesn’t look flat on the screen.

All projects are graded on a 10-point rubric, details are on the students page. To earn an “A” you have to show that you have taken your time and that your self-portrait isn’t simply a “trace.” Have fun with the project. The Mac Lab should be a place where you get the rare opportunity in school to be creative and express yourself.
