Where is the Journey Going to Take You? (Week 11)

Have you taken advantage of the opportunities available in the Mac Lab or have you sat there letting the opportunity pass you by? Are you one of those students that asks, “Do I have to watch the tutorial? Do I have to look through the inspiration galleries? Do I have to enhance this in Photoshop?” Why limit yourself to, “This is good enough.” Is it? Doesn’t your work represent you? The grade will take care of itself if you go beyond just following the directions and take the time to make your better. You can watch Youtube at home.

Your current project is the Vector Illustration. If you are thinking, “Not another pen tool project . . .” you are looking at it all wrong. You should be thinking, “My self portrait could have been so much better if I knew this, that, or this, like I do now.” I expect your Illustration to show improvement over your Self Portrait. You aren’t having to learn the Pen Tool, you aren’t having to learn how to use Illustrator, you aren’t having to learn how to switch between Illustrator and the tutorials. You should just be able to get into that creative zen and kick butt.
