Mastering the fundamentals of the Pen Tool in Illustrator is key to your success as a designer and as a member of the Mac Lab. Follow the Pen Tool tutorials on theIllustrator page to become a Pen Tool master. Do only exercises 1 and 4 for now. They are the most important. DO NOT rush through these exercises. You are going to use the Pen Tool throughout the entire year. Do the maze multiple times until you can do it without thinking.

The first project after mastering the Pen Tool is to create an illustrated self portrait in Illustrator. You may use a picture from an on-line photo account (i.e. Photobucket) or use Photo Booth and the iMacs built in camera. Go to your class page for details on the project.
