Movie Posters

All design begins with the design process. The first step in the design process is research. When designing a movie poster there are some things that you need to research.

First what type of movie is it? For example, a horror film will require a completely different design than a romantic comedy. The style of the film will effect the style of the poster.

Second you need to research other posters of the same type. So, if you are designing a zombie poster, you would use Google Images and search for zombie posters to see what other designers have created.

You will be designing a zombie film poster like my Dawn of the Dead example.

• Document Size: 17×22 inches
• Resolution: 180
• Color Mode: RGB

Poster Text

• The Walking Dead
• Sundays on AMC
• Tagline (ex. “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.”)
