Project #1
Chose a short story, myth, or fable. Get approval from instructor. Select a visual and conceptual theme appropriate to your story. Incorporate original imagery and create a two-page layout following a three column grid structure.
Keep in mind that the visual elements need to work hand-in-hand to enhance the editorial/story content. Remember what the message of the story is, and convey that message through the use of color (or lack of color), scale of objects, unity of elements, etc.

Project #2
Using InDesign, design a “creative”two-page layout (spread). Your layout will incorporate a headline, subhead, body text, image(s), and other related elements. Your layout should communicate your subject, be visually dynamic, use typography, negative space and the grid effectively, and provide access to the information to be communicated in the proper hierarchical sequence.
